Privacy policy

1. Who is responsible

The data controller is the publisher of Vaguabon Coach. Contact details will be published on this page before the service opens.

2. What data we process

• Account link: your username at the connected platform (e.g. Suunto) and the access tokens it issues when you authorize Vaguabon Coach.
• Training data: workouts (summary, laps, heart rate, pace, power, elevation, GPS track) and, if you allow it and the platform provides it, daily activity, sleep and recovery data.
• Technical data: minimal server logs (date, error codes) needed to keep the service secure, kept for a short period.

Heart rate, sleep and recovery data are health data under the GDPR (Art. 9). We process them only with your explicit consent, given when you connect your account.

3. Why

Only to provide the service to you: answer your questions about your training, compute trends, and send planned workouts or routes to your watch when you ask. No advertising, no profiling for third parties, no sale of data.

4. Legal basis

Your explicit consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and 9(2)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time by disconnecting your account.

5. AI assistant

When you use Vaguabon Coach through an AI assistant (such as Claude), the data needed to answer your question is sent to that assistant in your own session. That processing is governed by the assistant provider's own terms and privacy policy.

6. Storage and security

• Servers located in France (European Union).
• Access tokens are stored encrypted; traffic is encrypted (HTTPS).
• Each user can only access their own data.

7. Retention

Training data is kept as a cache while your account is connected. When you disconnect, your tokens and stored data are deleted within 30 days. Technical logs are kept for at most 30 days.

8. Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data, and withdraw consent, at any time. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).

9. Third parties

Data comes from the platform you connect (e.g. Suunto). Vaguabon Coach is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by those platforms.
